THINKING

GREEN

Tucker Greenhouse

Forget clothing or home goods, Barb Sonderman buys plants off the Internet.

"A lot of times I'll buy plants from Australia or even the UK... I just love buying plants online," the manager of the Tucker Greenhouse said.

The Tucker Greenhouse, located adjacent to Tucker Hall on the University of Missouri’s campus, boasts a plethora of plant specimens from all around the world, some of which are over 40 years old. The greenhouse was built in the 1970s under David Dunn, a botanist and biology professor at MU, and much of the greenhouse’s diversity can be attributed to him.
